In Raleigh, North Carolina what seems to have started with consensual sex between two male adults has resulted in both men being charged with “crimes against nature”.

Though a law passed by the U.S. Supreme Court 2003 prevents states from bringing charges against consenting adults the law was never removed from the books in the state, both men face a possible two years in prison if convicted.

I find it totally unacceptable that either man was booked under what is an illegal state law. The thought that these mens lives could be ruined because of the shortsightedness of the state regarding human nature and personal sexual preference is just shocking. Make note that from the article the men are not charged with abuse (for the biting and threats) but are charged with illegal adult sodomy.
